Exclusive Home with a View on Phuket
Perched on Phuket’s idyllic Cape Yamu peninsula, the Bay villa is a property that fuses Mediterranean chic with magical views of Phang Nga Bay
Situated on the east coast of Phuket, Cape Yamu is one of the island’s most unspoilt locations, boasting superb view of Thailand’s world-famous Phang Nga Bay. The villa is conveniently situated a ten-minute drive from the island’s main highway, putting shopping destinations, tourist attractions and cultural hotspots within easy reach. Phuket International Airport is only a 25-minute drive away, the perfect distance for visitors that want a secluded luxury vacation rental property nestled in natural scenery that’s not too far from the airport. Magnificent ocean vistas are one of this villa’s highlights, and the iconic scenery of craggy Phang Nga Bay will not disappoint.
With five spacious bedrooms, this ultra-contemporary residence can sleep as many as ten guests – making it the ideal accommodation choice for large families with children, or even a collective of couples. Each of the chic, modern bedrooms comes with its own ensuite bathroom for added convenience and privacy. In addition to the exquisite 20-metre infinity pool at the rear of the property, an outdoor dining and relaxation area provides guests with the perfect place to sit, chill and soak up the views. There is also a rooftop terrace and covered seating area for those that want to feel the refreshing kiss of the sea breeze. Inside, spacious living areas boast flat screen TVs – perfect for those that fancy a movie night after a long day of sightseeing. There is also a modern, fully-equipped kitchen where the resident Thai chef will regularly whip up a range of masterpieces for guests to savour. The property is a five-minute walk from the local beach for those that want to enjoy the feel of Thailand’s talcum powder sand between their toes.
The Bay oozes colourful, ultra-modern style and is the perfect pad for travellers that want to live it up in the lap of luxury whilst surrounded by Thailand’s natural wonder. When it comes to the layout and style of the villa, splendid ocean views do most of the talking, and are complemented by uber-chic modern décor. Minimalism reigns, although statement art pieces adorn the walls to give the property extra character and charm. Vividly coloured pieces of furniture scream of irresistible and iconic Danish design, and work hand in hand with authentic teakwood floor to make the interiors simply irresistible. The property is formed of two two-storey living pavilions that are connected by a seaview terrace. The open plan interior is bathed in bright, natural light thanks to the property’s expansive glazing and clever layout. If all of that wasn’t enough to entice you to The Bay, there’s even an ocean-view Jacuzzi in the master suite.
Whilst staying at The Bay, guests are free to enjoy the property to the maximum while the onsite staff take care of all their needs. An efficient team of resident maintenance staff ensure the villa is kept clean and tidy, while retaining a low profile to ensure guests can still enjoy a sense of privacy for the duration of their stay. Bed linen is changed every third day, and towels are replaced as necessary. A professional chef is on hand to take guests’ orders, whether they are in the mood for a traditional Thai feast or Western cuisine. The villa concierge also plays an important role in taking care of each guest’s needs. Armed with their extensive local knowledge, they are able to advise on all of the best local attractions and shops, as well as organising excursions, booking transportation and any restaurant reservations.
The property enjoys a location within the relatively underdeveloped east coast of Phuket, which makes it the perfect base to begin your exploration of the Kingdom’s luscious Phang Nga Bay. While the beaches on this side of the island may not boast the same sunset views as those on the West coast, they are ideal for visitors who are looking for peace, tranquillity and a secluded, sun-soaked spot. As a result, the Eastern side of the island enjoys a distinctly Thai personality compared to the more touristy Western side. For those that want to explore the island’s interior, Bang Pae waterfall is not too far from Cape Yamu, while for more sophisticated sights, Phuket’s elegant Royal Marina complex is also within easy reach and home to a choice of boutiques and restaurants.
